The “free year” is actually just the standard year of registration that you already pay for during the transfer process. So essentially, you’re not receiving any real extra time—the payment you make counts as the “free” year. This feels deceptive and not what a typical user would expect from their advertisement. The reason I transferred my domain to your company was a statement on your homepage advertising that a domain transfer includes an additional free year. After completing the transfer, I discovered that no additional year is actually provided. Instead, only one year is added, because the payment is charged for the transfer itself. I have never encountered a company that charges a fee specifically for the act of transferring a domain. Moreover, the wording of your promotion is misleading. It does not clearly state that the payment applies only to the transfer, nor that the domain is renewed for just one year, as is standard with other registrars. I contacted several other companies, and in all cases the transfer cost was lower. I chose your service solely because of this promotion, under the impression that I would receive two years in total. In my opinion, the wording is intentionally misleading, and this practice is not appropriate. Today, I attempted to activate the SSL certificate once more and realized that the issue might have been caused by our server’s ports 80/443 being blocked due to ISP policies. Previously, when using ACME, we had always relied on DNS verification. There was nothing I could do about this, so I contacted the support team. They responded very promptly, instructed me to submit the CSR file via email, guided me to add the CNAME record, and ultimately sent the SSL certificate to me. I have now successfully updated the certificate. I am very grateful to the support team; this was a very pleasant experience.
